“Having used the Aloetouch® gloves for several months we are very impressed with the product. The glove is durable and comfortable. Our employees who have previously had allergic type reactions to gloves have been delighted with the results of the Aloetouch® gloves. We have had no reactions to the gloves and our hands feel softer. I simply can’t say enough about the product; we love it!
Susan Reuter, LPN, Spring Meadows Care Center
“The nursing department at Mayflower Health Care Center really appreciates the Aloetouch® gloves that we have purchased through Medline. Not only are they durable, they are also comfortable and their price makes them affordable. It is always good to find a product like Aloetouch® gloves that exceeds our expectations.
Ed Poush, Administrator/ Associate Director
“I am writing to you regarding your Aloetouch® Latex exam gloves. Our staff has been using them for a couple of years and has found them to be the best glove on the market! They have a comfortable fit and do not leave your hands feeling dried out. We have never had a problem with the gloves tearing. The nursing staff says the excellent fit makes working with patients much easier. Thank you for this fine product.
Bill Hoffman, RN DON, St. Clement Health Care Center
“Thanks so much for recommending the Aloetouch® gloves. We are using them exclusively in our facility. Each department is very pleased with the comfort and wear ability. The aloe makes them very easy on the hands and can be worn for extended periods with no irritation or discomfort. All our nurses love them (Doctors too). We have been using them for over a year now and will continue to do so. Keep up the good work!
Glenna Belcher, Purchasing Agent, Edwards County Hospital
“We have been using your Aloe exam gloves in our facility for over a year. The staff ‘loves’ them. I recently ordered another name brand aloe glove and the staff ‘freaked’. Everyone wanted to know where the ‘green gloves’ were. Needless to say, I immediately reordered the Medline Aloe gloves and promised the staff I would not make the same mistake twice! As hard as my staff works, knowing I can provide a glove that fits comfortably, does not irritate the skin, is less likely to cause allergic reactions, and most importantly is the staff’s choice, is definitely worth the higher price. The staff chose the aloe gloves over standard powder free latex gloves about 10:1. At the Church Home for the Aged, ‘Green is the Word’ when it comes to gloves!
Kathy W. Eve, RN DON, Church Home for the Aged
“This is to inform you of the efficiency of the Aloetouch® non-sterile exam gloves. Our hospital was using several different types of gloves because we had numerous employees with sensitivity to one thing or another. It was hard to keep up with all the different types of gloves not to mention the expense to keep all sizes in stock. When we were introduced to the Aloetouch® gloves, we really liked the feel of the glove, the quality of the glove, and were especially pleased with the price of the glove. The only other glove we have to order for the hospital in the non-sterile line is for the latex free allergies. We have cut our expenses on gloves tremendously. It is not hard to keep an adequate supply in stock.”
Judy Reeves, Materials Manager, Grove Hill Memorial Hospital
“As manager of the Operating Room at Mansfield Hospital, I agreed to volunteer my department in a pilot program for the trial and evaluation of the Medline Aloetouch® exam glove before it was accepted as a production item. The staff in this department is very honest in evaluating items and is notorious in accepting only items of high quality and performance. The evaluation of this glove met with extremely positive reviews and created a demand for this glove in this system.
-Nurses, especially in the OR, spend a lot of time washing their hands and changing gloves which both contribute to dry, irritated skin. The aloe Vera gel coating of these gloves actually helps combat this dryness and irritation. With repeated use, the skin becomes softer and more conditioned.
-The aloe coating seems to make the gloves easier to don and remove; it also seems to make the glove more durable and less likely to tear while donning.
-The texture gives these gloves a better grip and makes them less slippery when wet.
The decision to convert to the Aloetouch® glove has never been regretted. In fact, during a recent evaluation of surgeon’s gloves, the most frequent comment I received was ‘Just don’t take away our green exam gloves!’ That opinion is unanimous.
Carol A. Hankins, R.N., CNOR, Inventory Control Specialist, MedCentral Health System
“I work at an AHRC facility and we definitely have a need for gloves. We were using just a regular power free latex glove before we changed over to the aloe glove. The transition from our old gloves to the new Aloetouch® glove was very easy. My staff and I absolutely love the gloves! The most important feature that we like about the glove is that there is no skin irritation, which is a huge plus for us. Second, the glove never rips. Our shipments come right away because the aloe gloves are always in stock. The green color of the glove is also a nice feature. Would I recommend this glove to other facilities? Yes, yes, yes!!! Thank you Medline for coming out with such a unique glove.
Debbie Russo, RN, AHRC
“Just wanted to let you know how much our staff likes the Aloetouch® powder-free exam gloves. In the past, I frequently received calls from various nursing units regarding integrity of the exam gloves. They would tear easily around fingers, palm of hand, and at the cuff. Frequently the nurses would double glove to assure protection while handling blood and body fluids. I have not received these complaints with the Aloetouch® glove. Thanks to Medline for providing a glove with an aloe vera coating that truly seems to moisturize and hydrate the skin, even when staff have used an antibacterial solution to cleanse their hands. As an Infection Control Practitioner that promotes excellent skin care for health care workers, I truly believe the Aloe glove enhances hand care.
Louise Standridge, RN, CIC, Director of Epidemiology, Carraway Methodist Medical Center
“I interviewed sixteen direct care staff, including six nurses and ten nurse aides. Each employee preferred using the Aloetouch® gloves compared to our previous powdered latex (non-aloe) gloves. The reasons for their preference included; usage did not result in dry, chapped hands, did not leave messy powder on hands or clothes, and did not smell ‘latexy’. All in all, the facility-wide usage of Aloetouch® has been positive. I personally believe that compliance with glove usage has increased as a result of the switch over from traditional powdered latex gloves, to Aloetouch®.
Will Simpson, RN, CIC, CWS, Infection Control Director, Calhoun County Medical Care Facility
“I am a satisfied user of Aloetouch® Powder Free Latex Gloves. I can say with all honesty that my staff just loves them. The fact that they are powder free and green in color totally elates them. Thank you so much for introducing them to us. I have searched for more than 2 years to find something that pleases my entire staff. It’s a first!”
Jean Gharzouzi, Crestwood Manor
“I wanted to let you know how much we like the Aloetouch® powder-free latex exam gloves. It is a relief to our hands that after using them you don’t suffer with dry, chapped skin. The lack of powder prevents the dryness and the addition of aloe sooths and treats your skin. They are a great addition to our unit and we also enjoy the color.
Darlene Sihrantz, Nurse Manager, Bertrand Chaffee Hospital
“The Natick Visiting Nurse Association was introduced to your Aloe Gloves in January and the clinical staff has been raving about them ever since. Clinicians have noticed dramatic difference skin integrity especially in the winter months. They no longer need to apply lotion regularly in order to decrease skin breaks and tears due to dryness from daily contact with the powder, latex and other materials. Most say they will never go back to the other brands of gloves! Overall, the clinicians are thrilled with the Aloe Gloves!!
Leigh Cofran, Medical Supply Coordinator, Natick Visiting Nurse Association
“I enjoyed meeting with you during your recent visit to our facility. I was especially interested to learn about Medline’s continuing development of their complete exam glove line. It appears there are a range of options available to help us in the ongoing challenge to balance quality vs. cost. You stated in our meeting that Medline thinks the Aloetouch® glove ‘is in a class by itself’. I feel a statement like that is difficult to prove. However, after using these gloves for over a year, the comments from staff seem to back it up. Users prefer the quality, fit and just the way these gloves seem to ‘condition’ their hands. These gloves just don’t appear to have any weaknesses.”
Greg Cameron, Coordinator Material Services, Hancock Memorial Hospital and Health Services
“In December of 2001, the Aloetouch® glove line was introduced to our practice. These remarkably durable gloves have been well received by our staff. Previously, latex gloves had been avoided in this practice because so many people seem to have a latex sensitivity of some sort. These gloves have been safely tried out by even the sensitive staff members without any discomfort. It would seem that getting rid of the latex powder and then adding the Aloe is a winning combination.”
Dagmar Stuebbe, Sterilization Manager, Ernst K. Janzen & associates Orthodontics, ltd.
“I wanted to write and tell you how happy my staff is with the aloe gloves. They love the fact that there is no powder to irritate their hands, and the gloves go on very easily. We do use a lot of the gloves, since any personal contact requires their use. Since they could be wearing the gloves several times each day, the ease and comfort of the gloves are very important to the staff members. The gloves we used previously were the powdered and powder-free latex, and some people did have problems with skin irritation. All of them are very satisfied with the aloe gloves. They even like the fact that they are colored, which makes them seem less clinical in nature.”
Carole Cohen, Facility Director, AHRC, Far Rockaway Adult Day Center
“This letter is our way of letting Medline Industries know how much our hospital appreciates the Aloetouch® Non-Sterile gloves. After being introduced to them, our employees were hooked! We had several employees who were having allergic reactions to some of the gloves we were using in the hospital. The Aloetouch® gloves helped tremendously! These gloves have been very satisfactory in our hospital. The Quality and price of the gloves is excellent!”
Tim McPhaul, Materials Manager, Monroe County Hospital
“I am very impressed with the new Aloetouch® gloves. The gloves make your hands feel so soft and smooth. We are currently using the Vinyl and Latex; both are powder-free. I switched gloves because of the quality of the Aloetouch® gloves and great color.”
Boatwright, Manager, Alliance Convalescent & Surgical Supply, INC.
“I just wanted to let you know how much we love the new Aloetouch® Ultra gloves. Ever since we evaluated them our nursing staff could not wait to get them ordered and in house. We have illuminated any more hand complaints with this wonderful new glove. The aloe inside these gloves was a great idea.”
Rose Kile, Marymount Terrace Assisted Living Center
“We have had the opportunity to try the Aloetouch®Ultra Gloves. We received positive comments from those staff members that used the gloves. They commented that they did not dry out their hands like other gloves. They also stated that these gloves made their hands feel soft and smooth.”
Cheryl Masson, A.D.O.N., Pacific Care Center
“My staff has been using the new Aloetouch® Ultra gloves for the past 2 weeks. Since that time I have heard nothing but positive comments made about these wonderful new gloves. I am planning on ordering these gloves from now on, as my staff loves using them.”
Edward Foley, Administrator, White Hall Multicare Center
“My Staff loves the new Aloetouch® Ultra gloves. The gloves feel great when on and the nurses no longer complain about dry chapped hands, due to the moisture of the aloe.”
Deb Jacobitz, MM, Lifecare Hospital of Western Michigan
“I want to tell you how excited we are about your new Aloetouch® gloves. We just love them and think it is a great invention. I can’t tell you how much better our hands feel and look after using this glove. Thank you for such a wonderful product.”
Regina Wills, RN, The Woodlands of Maryland Heights
“Thank you for introducing us to this wonderful new Aloetouch®exam gloves. We can’t express enough how much we just love them. I was reluctant at first to try them but was surprised and amazed at the results. Our Staff has told us how much better their hands feel and has thanked us for caring about them. It is nice to see such a new and wonderful product.”
Tom Winkle, D.O.N., Mary Queen & Mother Center
“Good Samaritan Hospital has used the Medline Aloe Gloves with great success. Our employees have been happy with the gloves, they have been safe to wear and do not tear easily. Also, employees felt they were gentle to their hands and had fewer complaints about skin problems.”
Sandy Iiams RN, CIC, Infection Control Manager, Good Samaritan Hospital
“I was currently using a N-Dex Latex Free, Powder Free Glove and I found my hands do dry out. I often hate wearing gloves and these Aloetouch® Gloves are wonderful. They fit nice, dexterity is good and my hands feel softer. I also like the idea they are Latex Free, Powder Free as so many people these days are allergic to Latex. I am also on a Volunteer Ambulance Team and I will be recommending these gloves to them.
Chris Ptaszynski, Special Order Coordinator, Conney Safety Products
“Our staff here absolutely love using your Aloetouch® powder-free gloves. They have expressed many compliments regarding these gloves. They are not irritating to the skin, they don’t cause dryness to the hands, they are easy to work in, and they are comfortable.
Jodi Vogt, RN, Director of Nursing, Country Manor Nursing Center L.L.C.
“The comments that we have received on these gloves have been overwhelmingly positive. We send out samples of different gloves to prospective clients every month and the response to the Aloetouch® Gloves has been wonderful. People have been very interested in this new type of product. We have been able to convert this interest into many loyal customers that order from us on a regular basis. We deliver many cases of the gloves personally. On a weekly basis someone will want to show us how their hands have cleared up from the dry chapped hands that they had before they started using Aloetouch®. Some of these customers had severe dry and cracking skin on their hands and Aloetouch® has alleviated this painful condition. Medline Industries has played a crucial part in our growing business. Thanks for your great service.”
Jim Glenn, Owner, Protective Medical Products
“I wanted to thank-you for our recent purchase of your Aloetouch® exam gloves. They are wonderful! My staff at Clearview Homes has come to me numerous times since our purchase, praising me for buying them. The staff wanted to let you know how much we appreciate your company. Our hands have never looked or felt as good with the moisturized Aloe Vera Gloves.”
Chris Brown, R.N., D.O.N., Clearview Homes
“I am writing this letter in order to let you know how much your Aloetouch® Gloves have helped one of our employees. I was at a loss as to what to do about her hands since we had tried every glove and her hands were getting worse. Fortunately, my Medline Rep suggested trying the Aloetouch® Gloves. Within two weeks, her hands had healed and have remained in great condition. She says that her hand have never felt better. Thank you so much for these wonderful gloves!
Nancy Martinez, Medical Supply Officer, Harbour Health Center
“Just want to say thank-you for introducing us to your Aloetouch® Gloves. They are wonderful. The CAN’s love them because they no longer have dry, chapped hands. Switching from our usual brand to the aloe gloves was not difficult at all. I would recommend these to any facility that was looking for a better glove for their employees. Again thank you
Marcia Hause, Director of Purchasing, Thornapple Manor
“In reference to the MDS195084/85/86, Aloetouch® Nitrile Powder Free gloves, these gloves are great, especially for dentist offices. Staff uses hundreds of gloves daily. The aloe gloves keep the staff’s hands conditioned better than any gloves they have ever used. The thin texture of the gloves gives them a good feel for the patients mouth and teeth, etc.”
Lynne Leichtfuss, Patient Services, Advanced Pharmacy Home Care
“My name is Dave Hahn and I am the Chief Technician of a rather large Dialysis Unit here in North Carolina. One of my primary jobs is to order supplies for use by the clinical staff so that they can treat our patients that have end-stage renal failure. Since we are a rather large unit, one item that we utilize the most of is gloves. The clinical staff changes gloves frequently from patient to patient and it is not uncommon to use 20,000 or more gloves in a given month. Also, the staff is required to wash their hands between glove changes. This frequent hand washing leads to sore dry hands by the time their 10-hour shift is completed. However, since we started using the Aloetouch® Nitrile gloves, our staff’s hands are soft, not dried out and are not sore at the end of the day. We all love the gloves and will continue using them.
Dave Hahn, Chief Technician, New Bern Dialysis, Fresenius Medical Care
“We are pleased with the performance of the Aloetouch® PF Nitrile gloves for several reasons and have been using this glove as our primary exam glove for two years now. They have eliminated the problems of hand dermatitis, we no longer have staff complaining of powder residue on hands, and they provide good grip and touch sensation.”
Mary Cook, Infection Control/Occupational Health Nurse, Southeast Missouri Mental Health Center
“We are extremely impressed with the comfort and strength of the Aloetouch® gloves. The new box is a plus as well, much better looking then the previous. They are the best priced Nitrile gloves I could find as well.”
Steve Northrup, HealthSouth Rehabilitation Hospital of Utah
“As the Residential Nurse Manager and a person with a latex allergy and asthma, I would highly recommend the Aloe Nitrile gloves that are powder free. They go on your hands easily, the ability to feel blood vessels through the material is excellent. The main reason we chose these gloves for the nurses is to increase the protection when we have contact with blood and body fluids. The information on penetration is better with the Nitrile than vinyl. Staff safety is a must and the decreased shortness of breath is a blessing to me.
Roberta L. Wood, CRNP, Chemung ARC
“Both my donor and lab techs finally agree on a glove. They really the Aloetouch® glove because when they take them out of the box they do not stick together. Also, they have been saying their hands do not get dry and irritated as with other gloves. They like the fact that they are easy on and easy off.”
Dee Butler, Purchasing Dept., Blood Center of the St. Johns
“Prior to switching to Medline’s aloe gloves, we were using Microtouch. Although we were content with Microtouch’s product, we have found that your gloves provide better price quality, and therapeutic aloe. In comparison, the quality that Medline’s product provides are that your gloves are more tear resistant and they have better tactile sense. Fortunately, our staff has never had an issue with dermatitis in the past. Making the transition of products was very easy and we would definitely recommend this glove to other facilities. We appreciate the letter and are looking forward to receiving Medline’s aloe gloves soon.”
Steve Hecklin, DMD
“We have been using your Aloetouch® gloves for the past 4-5 months. We LOVE them!!! I recommend them to anyone because they are very thick and do not tear easily. Unlike most gloves, they do not make your hands sweat after 2 minutes of wearing a normal glove. They are easy to don off and take off.”
Carthage General Hospital
“The Aloetouch® gloves are the greatest. These gloves feel like silk while they are on my hands and they don’t have that medicine smell. These gloves keep my hand soft. They protect the hands. It feels like they have a healing agent for softer skin. My hands stay soft after frequent washes. They don’t look as rough and dry after washing my hands. These gloves work like magic to the hands.”
Cynthia Hannah, The Barry Robinson Center
“ We love the Aloetouch® gloves and have decided to go system wide with this glove. Our nursing and house keeping staff just love how they make our hands feel… so smooth and silky after a day of work. Thank you for inventing and introducing such a wonderful product.”
Darrel Powle, Administrator, Integrated Health Services
“We prefer the Aloetouch® gloves because they make our hands feel soft and it moisturizes our hands during use. They are not tight and fit better than other brands. The pricing fits our needs as well.”
Cheryl Cysemor, Healthsouth Mobile Surgery Center
“This is just a note to let you know how pleased I am with the results from using your Aloe Gloves. After using them for a couple of days, I noticed a huge difference. The skin on my fingers is chronically dry in areas due to years of dermatitis when I was younger. These dry areas have cleared up considerably after using you gloves. What a great idea for so many health care workers with dry hands. Thanks for a great product!”
